Three weeks after going missing at Hampden James Tavernier has issued an early warning to Celtic that they’ll be facing the ‘Real Rangers’ on April 8.
Now into his eighth year in Scottish football Tav has watched Celtic lift 16 of the 22 trophies on offer despite all of the fighting talk from Ibrox.
In the last 15 months the former Wigan Athletic utility man has led his side to 4-0 and 3-0 defeats at Celtic Park followed by the usual post match apologies.
Before last month’s Viaplay Cup Final defeat at Hampden the same old fighting talk was coming out of Ibrox ahead of Celtic’s 2-1 Hampden success.
Rather than keep things low key and measured, concentrating on the next match at home to Dundee United on April 1, Tav is already out banging the drum to add to the euphoria of beating Motherwell 4-2 with Nick Walsh, Douglas Ross and Andrew Dallas as back up.
