Ange Postecoglou has delivered an upbeat message on three injured players ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final.

Liel Abada and Reo Hatate haven’t played since the hoops beat Hibs on March 18 while Jota’s last involvement was in the critical Glasgow Derby on April 8.

Having all three available for Sunday’s match would be a massive boost but starting with anyone less than match fit could back fire.

Postecoglou gives very little away but speaking to Celtic TV about injuries he said:

We’ll see how they go. Abada, Jota and Reo are the main three but they are due to train all week so it will just come down to how they do during the training week. If they get through the training week they will be available. Everyone got through the weekend okay, it’s only James Forrest who won’t be available come the semi-final.

That seems to suggest that the named trio will be fully involved in training this week, if there are no set-backs they should be in contention for the Hampden clash.

Jota and Hatate would almost certainly be in the Starting XI with Abada a likely substitute, the Israeli played a part in every SPFL match up until he returned injured from international duty last month.
