Micky Beale will have to decide whether he plays Connor Goldson on Sunday against Celtic after just two full days of training.

The former Shrewsbury starlet hasn’t played since April 1 leaving John Souttar and Ben Davies to conceded seven goals in three matches as Celtic, St Mirren and Aberdeen exposed the Ibrox defence.

From today’s media conference Football Scotland reports Beale saying:

Goldson, Wright, Kent and Lowry all trained. We just need to see how they react now and assess after returning today to training.

Kent is the only other likely start from that quartet with Goldson the big question that Beale has to answer.

The former Brighton man has played Celtic three times this season with just a draw to his credit with the hoops cracking in seven goals to claim the honours.

Souttar and Davies were both responsible for goals lost in the SPFL defeat at Celtic Park on April 8, deciding whether to stick with that duo or who to pair with Goldson won’t be revealed until 12.15 on Sunday.
