Kris Commons has slaughtered Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent for their ‘performances’ in the Glasgow Derby although Bo Shows would be a better way of putting it.

Chosen to lead the line by Micky Beale alongside Malik Tillman the experienced duo produced very little with James Tavernier carrying more of a goal threat.

In two months time Morelos and Kent will be on the market as free agents although some Ibrox fans are hopeful that they can do a Goldson by signing new deals when they discover that there is no outside interest.

Beale could have turned to Antonio Colak, Fashion Sakala, Rabbi Matondo, Scott Wright or Ianis Hagi for the forward positions but preferred two players who will be elsewhere when the rebuild gets underway.

Writing in the Daily Mail Commons doesn’t hold back:

If Rangers fans needed any further proof, this was confirmation that Morelos is now a shadow of the player he was a couple of years ago. He was absolutely miles off it — and so was Ryan Kent.

These are two guys who are supposed to be Rangers’ biggest attacking threats, but they were empty jerseys again on Saturday.

Morelos and Kent are living off former glories. They are not offering any value to this Rangers team with their performances on the pitch.

With their contracts set to expire in the summer, neither of them are doing anything that would warrant an extension.

The only reason you would have to offer them a new deal is the fact you don’t want to see two of your supposed best players leaving on a free.

There was a time a couple of years ago when Morelos and Kent were being jointly valued at around £30million.

To see both of them walk out the door on a free would just typify some of the poor decisions being made behind the scenes at Rangers.

But that’s a different argument, one based on finance. If you look at it purely from a footballing point of view, neither Morelos nor Kent actually deserve a new deal. They’ve been rotten for months.

As most Internet Bampots know there has barely been a flicker of interest in the Ibrox duds let alone the prospect of anyone offering Dembele Dollars.

With Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo and Nathan Patterson sinking without trace away from Ibrox only a fool would part with real money for Beale’s damaged goods.
