Kris Boyd believes that two matches could be decided at Celtic Park at lunchtime today.

Officially it is just another three points on offer but with eight matches left to play a home win would put the SPFL title within sight with fans speculating on when rather than if the title will be won.

With 15 straight home wins in the SPFL already this season everything points to another success for Ange Postecoglou with the memories of a 3-0 and 4-0 win from last year still fresh in the mind.

Normally there is a couple of months to stew over the outcome of a Glasgow Derby but as the dust settles today the countdown gets underway towards a Scottish Cup semi-final in three weeks time.

If Celtic win today Boyd can’t see past them at Hampden, writing in The Sun he explains the extra significance of today’s match.

WINNING at Parkhead won’t make a blind bit of difference in the title race for Rangers but losing could have a catastrophic effect on the rest of their season.

It would heap an enormous amount of pressure on Michael Beale’s side heading into the Scottish Cup semi-final at the end of the month.

And I’m not convinced they would be able to handle trying to stop Celtic winning the Treble.

Rangers players have walked off the pitch in the last two derby games with plenty of regrets.

They passed up a great opportunity to win at Ibrox when Kyogo Furuhashi got a late equaliser and then never turned up at Hampden in the Viaplay Cup final.

On both occasions, Celtic weren’t near their best — but Beale’s men didn’t capitalise. If it happens for a third time then it would have a major impact on their confidence before the latest Cup meeting — which is a final in all but name.

Boyd is expected to be at Celtic Park today as part of the Sky Sports team analysing the match.

Boydie as Tavawanker keeps saying the next game the next game we will get them why does this arsehole keep repeating himself one day they will beat celtic if Taviwanker keeps saying it but the sevco fans are fed up with him saying it everytime celtic beat them the next game look celtic weren’t all the good on Saturday but we still won and if all our players turned up we would have battered them 4 maybe 5 kyogo should have had atleast a 3..4 goals but we will settle for 3..2 the points takes us 12 clear so hopefully we won it at liebrox without fans but our players will have to watch themselves from the scum fans with bottles golf balls etc because police scotland would help them thats for sure.
