With no sense of irony the Daily Record has turned to Kirk Broadfoot to squeeze a seventh day out of the Alfredo Morelos ‘disallowed goal controversy’.
If the Record wishes to discuss controversial decisions with the Open Goal FC star they might like to ask him about the day he tripped himself up against Celtic and was awarded a penalty by Willie Collum who had his back to the incident.
That decision assured Collum of more than a decade of Glasgow Derby appointments plus lucrative foreign jollies although Champions League fixtures are no longer offered his way.

A reminder that the longest ban in English football history for racist abuse was issued to ex-Rangers player and egghead Kirk Broadfoot for his treatment of… James McClean.

Broadfoot told the Record:
If Alfredo’s goal had stood then Rangers probably would have taken something from the game. It can be either side’s game, on their day. There has definitely been progress for Rangers under Michael Beale and now it is about continuing that
Are we not allowed to touch anyone now? At times you have to let the play carry on and get on with it.
Collum didn’t let the play carry on in 2010, he awarded a penalty on instinct with no comeback or demotion from the SFA.
