After 15 minutes of fame in midweek David Tanner was trying to repeat the magic again at Ibrox today.
The former Sky Sports C-lister had a late night rush of blood on Wednesday as he explained how the combination of big crowds and his media buddies had combined at the start of the season to prevent referees from awarding penalties against Celtic.
Since VAR was introduced Celtic have had seven penalties awarded against them, across the city it is now 49 SPFL matches since a Scottish referee awarded a penalty against the Ibrox Tribute Act. Not that Tanner or any of his media chums would use that statistic.
Showing the sort of judgement that saw him slip from sharing a studio with Hayley McQueen and Natalie Sawyers to nights on the Bowling Club circuit with Tam Cowan, Tanner took to Twitter again today from his media seat at Ibrox.
Despite courting the Gullible & Deluded for six years on Twitter Tanner has attracted just over 13,000 Twitter followers.
That probably explains why there were no replies from HELLO! and Chat magazines in 2004 when the London based Tanner tried to auction off his wedding pictures.
No penalty to Rangers.

I did watch the first half at Ibrox: Tillman should have been booked for trying to
con the ref to award a TavPen – with a ridiculous dive over the United keeper.
Somebody must have forgotten to tell Tillman that they don’t need to con the
referee for penalties…
Tanner just doesn’t get it , oh wait a minute yes he does . That no penalty image he showed on the big screen at the hunnery should’ve been the case numerous times over the seasons that benefitted sevco but he fails to address it . What a poor attempt at deflection, total fud .
