After 26 years in the management business Ange Postecoglou knows what it takes to win a league title. He’s achieved that in Scotland, Japan and Australia.

Yesterday’s win over Ross County won’t feature strongly in the end of season DVD other than for Alexandro Bernabei’s stunning goal but as he checks on the SPFL table this morning the victory gains the same three points as the more eye-catching four and five goal victories.

On the back of an international break and dealing with a couple of injuries Postecoglou had to dig deep into his squad for yesterday’s match as the Celtic substitute bench demonstrated.

The final scoreline was tight but on another day the efforts from Jota and Greg Taylor would have gone in rather than hit the woodwork while a number of balls were sent across the goal-mouth.

Whatever the circumstances, the distance, the kick-off time Postecoglou knows that he can rely on the backing of the Celtic travelling support, something that he appreciates and never takes for granted.
