Kenny Miller has claimed that Ally McCoist felt threatened attending the Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park in September.

The former Rangers boss has never previously commented on any safety issues but there seems to be a lot of people talking out of turn this week.

Andy Walker got the ball rolling by discussing the VAR stitch up with officials afraid to give the correct decision, on a BBC podcast True Blue Kenny Macintyre revealed that Alfredo Morelos won’t be part of the Micky Beale Revolution next season but the rookie Ibrox boss couldn’t discuss the issue.

With a 12.30 Saturday kick-off Sky Sports pundits will arrive at Celtic Park between 10.30 and 11am, well clear of the 60,000 fans with post-match coverage allowing the crowds to clear.

Miller can be heard regularly across Radio Clyde, Radio Scotland, Sky Sports and Sportscene, noting a gap in his diary he put in an appearance on TalkSPORT this morning with The Sun reporting:

Miller was asked by Alan Brazil on TalkSPORT: “Kenny, you played for both clubs. Do some people still give you pelters for that?”

And he replied: “Yes, I do still get it. I’m actually at the game tomorrow. I’ve managed to get a wee seat.

“I am working on commentary tomorrow. I will be sitting there in the middle of the main stand, right behind the Celtic fans.

“The last two times I’ve been there has been 3-0 and 4-0 working at the game so it wasn’t a good day at the office on those days!”

Revealing that “Ally was looking to get tickets for his boys and there’s none”, Brazil then asked about his usual co-host McCoist: “Does McCoist get away with it or does he get pelters as well?”

And Miller replied: “No, well we actually spoke about it the last time, I think it was the first game at Celtic Park this season.

“He said it was probably worse than ever walking in there. He said he actually felt a little bit threatened walking in.”

Having played a key role in steering Rangers into liquidation in 2012 then TUPEing his contract over before spending a year on gardening leave McCoist is generally viewed positively by Celtic fans.

Kris Boyd takes far more criticism online with his physical appearance often commented on when he covers Celtic matches for Sky Sports.

At no match at Celtic Park has broken glass mysteriously appeared in a penalty box while it was being attended to by the Celtic ground-staff with the CCTV switched off and escaping the notice of Police Scotland.

As much as I detest the sleekit McCoist,

it looks like Miller is indeed, talking out of turn.

McCoist is a prolific pundit, so if there were any issues at Parkhead for him,

then he wouldn’t be slow to capitalise on it – for his own media output.

In saying that, if Beale or any of his players feel threatened at Parkhead,

then they should be – the threat is that their overyhped team will get humped!

Might be glassware on the pitch tomorrow…

when the sevco team’s collective bottle crashes!

    🙂

  • John Copeland says:

In which way did Super swally feel threatened inside Celtic park last September ?Was it getting permanently scarred from a bottle throwing lunatic or stepping onto broken glass smashed against the crossbar at halftime from an anonymous perpetrator ? I wonder if any scoop asked him ?

Here we go again, if ye cannae beat them; join (copy) them.

McCoist I used to think was ok but I’ve seen thru his guiselast 2/3 years and he’s a 100% SLEEKITRATFUQR.

He cheats every week on BT @ SFExtra when he plays Sutton, every FUQN week HE IS SEEN CHEATING LIVE ON SCREEN.

  • John says:

Why is Sally looking for tickets for his lads? Is that not asking for trouble?

Why did Sally not say this before. Was he in the commentary box or was he sitting in the main stand? There is a difference!

Sevco could not guarantee suttons safety in a commentary box.

If it was on Sky duty, Sky would have commented.

Sissy Boyd who is probably more disliked the Sally has not complained.

    It is all made up

  • John S says:

As far as I’m aware there is only one club that has claimed it cannot guarantee the security of customers and staff.

  • Tam says:

“The rangers” told everyone that they could not guarantee the safety of two commentators at their ground. Now we are told a commentator was afraid for his safety at CELTIC park. The only thing that binds those two stories together is “NOT ONE SHRED OF EVIDENCE” has been put forward to prove any of it. Lies Lies and more Lies

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Lies, Lies and more Lies Tam – Well they are from Lie-brox after all !

  • Johnny mcglinchey says:

Don’t be fooled with that rat mcmoist, he is a hun fuck and if anyone says he carried the late great tommy burn’s coffin he had no choice, what would his excuse be if he didn’t. Just a hun fuck.HH

  • Stevie says:

Miller is a wee fckn shit stirrin rat. We know what McCoist is but I think there is a bit of respect there.
Not like the mob across the water who cant guarantee the safety of commentators of previous Celtic history. I hope Swally comes out and declares this utter pish.

  • Scouse bhoy says:

Its not the way i like many celtic fans view him his behaviour in 2012 when his club went bust was shameful and the mask has slipped too many times since then .

  • Edward Mc Graw says:

Whenever we hear Mc Coist bleating about fan behavior, just remember, it was his idea to do the huddle on Celtic Park, at the end of one the most incendiary derby games in history when the old rangers clinched their only 9 in a row, could have set off a full scale George square type riot.
