Micky Beale is lining up a swoop to bring Todd Cantwell’s mate to Ibrox.
Kieran Dowell is described by the Daily Mail as a 25-year-old playmaker which suggests that the £5m earmarked to sign Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich will be used elsewhere.
With his contract expiring in June Dowell will be looking for a big money deal elsewhere which sounds similar to the Jack Butland story revealed in The Sun.
The market for free agents in England is highly competitive which pushes up wage demands but that seems to be the market that Beale knows best as he prepares for his summer Revolution.

NORWICH City midfielder Kieran Dowell has emerged as a summer transfer target for Rangers.
The 25-year-old playmaker is out of contract at the English Championship outfit in June and is free to hold talks with other clubs.
A key player under David Wagner, the Canaries manager is keen to keep hold of the former England Under-21 international.
With Norwich four points adrift of the promotion play-off places, however, the attacking midfielder is hedging his bets over a new deal.
A former Everton prospect, Dowell was forced on to the sidelines by knee ligament damage in February, but he plans to be back in action before the end of the season.
Dowell has started 15 Championship matches this season while coming off the bench nine times. Cantwell made nine starts and nine off the bench before his dream move to Ibrox.
It is unclear whether Beale has met up with Dowell to look deeply into his eyes. Although he has played for England at u-21 level Dowell qualifies to play for Ireland through his grand-parents.
The arrival of another midfielder will increase speculation that there will be no new contracts on offer to Ryan Jack or Scot Arfield despite hints from Beale that he wants to hold onto both players.

Wouldn’t be like Sevco to sign somebody with a knee injury. I see this lad was an England U21 international whose career has stalled somewhat (65 games in 3 seasons at Norwich = 20+ games a season), but his Wikipedia article indicates he also qualifies for the Republic of Ireland. I’m sure that would impress his prospective new employers no end – and make him a popular guest at supporters club functions….
