Neil McCann’s anger spills over on Sportscene as he calls out lazy Morelos

Most weeks on Sportscene Neil McCann can be seen drooling over Micky Beale’s masterful tactics and the brilliance of stars like Todd Cantwell and Malik Tillman, the amazing stats of James Tavernier and the Step-Overs of Ryan Kent.

To some outsiders it has appeared like a blatant audition for a place in Beale’s backroom staff from the former Dundee manager.

Sometimes reality comes into play, when the defeats come they hurt badly, the pain runs deep and even a favourite on the Scottish pundit is forced to admit that things aren’t quite as wonderful as they like to portray.

McCann had the Sportscene gig tonight, watching the action come in from Pittodrie then going on camera knowing that it is only gloating Celtic fans watching, wanting to soak up your pain and despair.

Jonny Hayes makes it difficult for Tavernier. Scales knows Morelos isn’t going to run him in the channels so he can afford to be really aggressive and go and press him.

Morelos should be holding that up, it’s lazy from him, waiting on it. Scales it right on top of him and sometimes you deserve a wee bit of luck.

When an on loan Celtic player scores the goal that sets the hoops up for a Coronation Party even McCann can’t hold reign in his anger and criticism.
