Austen Trusty is the latest English Championship star being linked with a summer switch to Ibrox.
Unusually the defender appears to have no recurring injury issues and is under contract which would require a transfer fee to be paid.
Trusty has played 44 Championship games for Birmingham City this season, on loan from Arsenal there is likely to be other English sides interested in the USA international defender.
With Jack Butland apparently Joe Hart II it looks like Micky Beale is lining up Trusty as CCV Lite as he models his summer rebuild on Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic template.
Scottish club Rangers are reportedly keen on 24-year-old USMNT defender Auston Trusty, who is on loan at Birmingham City from Arsenal.
It’s believed Rangers would have to pay in the region of £2 million for Trusty’s signature in the summer window. pic.twitter.com/FsRRtsNnJ3

The initial story appeared in the main (English) edition of the Daily Mail which suggests that the source was from Arsenal rather than Ibrox.
Should Trusty actually make the move it seems likely that Ben Davies will be on the move leaving Connor Goldson, John Souttar and Leon King as options in central defence.

If there’s a fee involved forget it.
