If you were to compile a list of pundits and C-list personalties that are not Celtic friendly Ewen Cameron would be close to the top.

Claiming to be a Hearts fan he takes a special interest in results going against Celtic and had a life changing experience at Ibrox on the day Mister Gerrard was appointed manager at Ibrox.

Since the weekend there has been a growing tide of media criticism of Celtic fans celebrating their side’s SPFL title win in the Trongate.

With next to no facilities the fans amused themselves with singing, some smoke bombs and flares were let off plus a few regrettable incidents like someone falling through the roof of a bus shelter and suggestions that some fans smoked illegal substances.

The Spectator was first out the traps, claiming that the celebrations were similar to the Lockdown attacks on George Square in 2021 without providing evidence of smashed benches, broken statues or injured Police Officers.

On Tuesday Humza Yousaf decided to join the criticism, with the First Minister in action Chris McLaughlin of BBC Scotland waded in with a number of arrests without any specific number or suggestion of the gravity of the offences.

When Cameron decides enough is enough you know that the media messengers have over-stepped the mark, a successful Celtic isn’t good for the news desks of Scottish media outlets.
