Beale piles the pressure on Bisgrove over his dominant force demand

Micky Beale has put pressure on the Ibrox board to provide him with two mobile, reliable goalscoring centre-forwards for his summer Revolution.

In midweek James Bisgrove discussed the need to become the dominant force in Scotland by 2025 ahead of a summer transfer window where expectations are growing by the day.

Beale is the man expected to deliver on that target but as he demonstrated at QPR self preservation is a skill that the former Liverpool u-5 coach has in abundance.

Rather than kick-start early on his Revolution Beale has delivered results playing a dull, turgid style of football to improve his own CV leaving the club two summer months to complete and overhaul aimed at ending Celtic’s run of success.

Finding a regular goal-scorer will be essential if Beale is to deliver on Bisgrove’s pledge with the rookie boss not shying away when the Daily Record asked if signing one striker was a priority:

No, we’re looking for centre-forwards. So far I’ve had to play the striker who is fit rather than picking one for the team. When we play in Europe or big games here, EVERY player must take part in every minute of the game. I like forwards who aren’t just in one position. They interchange, move around and have freedom on the pitch.

Whenever we have done well in Europe, every player took part in all aspects of the game. That is a big thing for me. I want energy, I want speed, I want to see personality in a centre-forward. If you want to be a No.9 for Rangers you need to have that. In the last few weeks I have been busy, travelling extensively to have meetings with players in person.

It gives me a feel for the relationship we will have. I enjoy that part of it. And I’m aware that if I don’t get them right, fingers will point at me this time and not someone else.

At both ends of the pitch we need a bit of experience at this moment. This isn’t the time to go with rookies in these positions. In between that, we can get a lovely mix. But at either end we need experience

Beale’s job description for a centre forward virtually rules out Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak although both are under contract through next season.

Finding someone to match Beale’s requirements isn’t likely to cost less than £5m, doing that twice on a budget to meet UEFA’s Financial Sustainability Regulations looks like a near impossible task.

That comment by Bisgrove about being the ‘dominant force ‘ will be an almighty weight around the Bealy boy’s already stooped shoulders to carry around ! Fan pressure , social media pressure , will all add to the suffocation process when he does not deliver . What Bisgrove forgets is that under Ange , Celtic FC will not be allowed to stand motionless while Ibrox does it’s revolting , sorry , revolution act ! There’s a better chance that Katie Price has never had plastic surgery than the tribute act being dominant !

I’m going for a ‘BOGOF’ prediction.

Both Beale and Bisgrove will be punted by Christmas.

It’s going to get farcical over the summer down Ibrox way.

    🙂

Don’t be surprised to see Beale get his way with the strikers all this shite about being watched by the governing European body of football means zilch.
If sevco want to CHISEL their way with players they can’t afford they will do it and face the consequences after it.

I think Beale spends his waking hours reading Ange quotes and philosophies and tweaking them. I like to meet, see if the person and personality fit. He must spend hours watching all of Ange’s past games through Melbourne to Japan to Celtic and wish he could be the man. He also must spend his nap time between feeds dreaming about millions of ££££££££s for a transfer budget. Meanwhile, Mr Bisgrove is shitt’n kittens for over promising.
