While the Celtic players continue training as usual Micky Beale’s losers are already on the beach.

Five weeks after their feeble surrender to Celtic in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup Allan McGregor and John Lundstram have officially downed tools and enjoying a drink or three.

At Hampden McGregor was rooted to his goal-line as Jota headed home a cross from Daizen Maeda to book Celtic’s place in Saturday’s final against Inverness Caley Thistle.

Had Greegsy and big Lunny put in a bit more effort during the season they’d still be training at Murray Park and going to Hampden as strong favourites to lift their club’s third trophy in a decade.

As It Stands St Johnstone remain the second most successful club in Scotland over the last decade with three trophies- over at Celtic Joe Hart is looking to win his fifth trophy in two seasons to complete a clean sweep of honours in Scotland to match his EPL, FA Cup and League Cup winners medals from England.
