As ever the Daily Record likes to pretend that the world media is peering in on the parochial world of Scottish football.
Saturday’s result at Ibrox would certainly have pleased the Glasgow based publisher as a month of reporting on Celtic success was interrupted and allows them to drool over Micky Beale’s summer Revolution.
The reality of yesterday’s match is that other than a couple of outposts here and there the match at Ibrox was largely ignored, played at the same time there were many more eyes on Leeds United drawing with Newcastle with the knock-on effects at the top and bottom of the EPL.
It would be a shock if there were any foreign reporters at Ibrox yesterday, English titles would struggle to justify sending up one of their big boys when the Press Association provide more than sufficient coverage of the match.
Ange Postecoglou and Micky Beale aren’t big names to the London media but after trawling the web the Record manager to find a Bosnian publisher that probably has a track record of introducing dubious billionaires to their readers:
Sport Sport (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Beale has Rangers fans believing but not as much as one reporter in Bosnia. An exciting match report was hinged on four games remaining this season – rather than three. But while the Tynecastle title Huddle was missed in Herzegovina, they were all–in on Rangers.
It read: “Celtic now have 95 points, 10 more than Rangers, who are second, and will remain so until the end. There are still four rounds to go and the only question is when Celtic will mathematically secure the title, and they have a chance for that already in the next round.”
In two weeks time the Record will be covering another SPFL Presentation Day at Celtic Park in front of 60.000 fans, the 11th time in 12 years that they’ve been sharing that scene with their army of readers.
Celtic had better enjoy their chance at a world Record 8th treble, coz it looks like worrying times ahead, what with the redemption arcs and spankings from Bosnia this morning.

That game was their Season.
I read a funny yesterday on YouTube stating Police Scotland had filed a missing persons report on Callum McGregor ?
I replied they only need post an officer on the top steps at Hampden as that’s where you will usually find him at this time of year.
No reply as of yet 😉
Callum and the bhoys had an off day (as they did v St Mirren who scored twice with no reply) not an off Season.
I disagree, that thinking is where the trap lies and is the thinking that closes the gap.
On that day Celtic were missing CCV and Starfelt with a centre half pairing of Jenz and Welsh.
Yesterday showed, when our pivitol players are missing, Kobayshi, Bernabai and to a lesser extent Ralston means the performance plummets. Kobayashi was also exposed at Tynecastle last week but was forgotten amid a title party.
Celtic have major work to do to replace the players clearly not up to the task of improving the team otherwise more reality checks are on the horizon.
Celtic plan is working the win at ipox makes sure that beale is there next season
We’ll get our revenge in the Scottish Cup final……. oh wait !!!!!!!
HH
Several celtic players were looking at injury free holidays shortly.
I however thought that several are not tough enough to win the ball.
Kobayashi is soft.
O’Riley is soft.
OH is soft.
Kyogo is soft.
Abada was off the pace.
Bernabei was off the pace.
Ralston was off the pace.
The other players had to much to do with the lack of effort from certain softies.
Whan you play a match you must play to win and put in the effort, fans will soon turn on you when you turn off.
The off the pace guys were back from injury or just don’t get match rotation time.
Ange is accountable for all the above, some taller harder players in the squad would be appreciated.
