With the trophy presented and the podium packed away Celtic can start to look ahead to next season’s Champions League draw.
For the second season running Ange Postecoglou’s side go straight into the group stage draw- almost certainly in Pot 4.
About the only consolation of being in Pot 4 is that Celtic can’t be drawn against Newcastle United but there are no shortage of giants in each of the other Pots to ensure some special autumn nights at Celtic Park.
Rather than just rate clubs based on their co-efficient there is an element of Champions in the competition with the league winners from the top nations going into Pot 1. On that basis Feyenoord and Benfica are ranked above the two Madrid clubs and Borussia Dortmund who were pipped to the Bundesliga title on the last day.
An early look at the 23-24 CL Group Stage possibilities for Celtic.
Celtic’s coefficient is 31. They’ll likely be in Pot 4. Here is a look at how they can reach Pot 3.

There is the possibility of a slightly ‘easier’ group such as Feyenoord, Porto and Red Star Belgrade but those three clubs all have similar ambitions to Celtic of getting into the knock out stages, trying the near impossible of matching up to their history of being previous winners.
