The madness of Scotland and Scottish football was captured perfectly during Super Scoreboard tonight on Radio Clyde.
The popular phone-in show has more than it’s fair share of cranks spelling out some bizarre theories on how their team is faring at any particular moment in time.
Tonight they had a special guest phoning in, Humza Yousaf.
It is doubtful if there is another country in the world where the Head of State would call up a commercial radio station and jokingly discuss the Twitter tale of the day that Ange Postecoglou could be about to leave Celtic for Spurs.
?? “I’ve asked my team to see if there’s anything in my First Ministerial powers to stop Ange from leaving” ?
?? FM @HumzaYousaf joined @gordonduncan7 on tonight’s show to talk about new @scotgov initiative Fan Bank – and the Celtic manager’s links to the vacant Tottenham job.. pic.twitter.com/PH1CG51PSg

There are some powers that I have as First Minister and I’ve just asked my entire team to see if there is anything among my First Ministerial powers to see if I can stop Ange from leaving Celtic, if, of course, the rumours are true. No, of course there is nothing that I can do.
A report late this morning from The Standard claimed that Postecoglou was the top target for Spurs with interest on hold until after Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final.
Sky News were soon running with very similar details, with just three domestic matches left in the domestic season the Spurs story was trending all across social media.
