Family Time for Celtic’s Superstar from Portugal

Jota enjoyed some special family backing as he played a lead role in Celtic’s title celebrations.

The Superstar from Portugal almost finished the season with a spectacular free kick, fortunately Oh Hyeon-gyu was on hand to convert the rebound to put Celtic 5-0 up after Kelle Roos had touched the ball onto the crossbar.

A goal was all that was missing from Jota’s performance but as a team player he enjoyed the goals of his colleagues every bit as much as he would if he had supplied the finishing touches.

A league title is won over 38 matches, not 90 minutes with Jota turning in consistently high performances alongside important goals, notching in both of the home Glasgow Derbies.

That scoring touch continued at Hampden last month, on Saturday Jota returns to the National Stadium looking to round the season off by getting his hands on the Scottish Cup.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
