James Bisgrove has casually claimed that there are 4-5 million Ibrox fans worldwide.
When you are being interviewed by Kris Boyd reading questions from a tablet you know that there won’t be any tricky follow up questions.
On a recent Linked In Job advert it was claimed that the club formed by Charles Green has 3.4m fans worldwide with half of them in the UK.
Bisgrove seems to have added almost 50% to that figure ahead of taking up his job as CEO.

I think our research tells us that we have four, five million fans around the world
There may be 5,000,000 worldwide that have heard of Rangers but there is a version in Dallas, one in Texas and even clubs in Cambuslang, Kilwinning and Cove.
One simple way to register your support/interest would be to follow on Twitter, with just 778,000 fans on Twitter it seems that Bisgrove has failed to produce an exciting relationship with more than 4,000,000 bears.
With 70,000 fans registered on My Gers locating the missing 4m plus would massively increase Micky Beale’s transfer warchest.

A previous director of the old club, Hugh Adam, stated that Rangers was not a club with a world fan base.
He said that it was essentially a West of Scotland club with strong support in Northern Ireland.
He was of course telling the truth. The Bisgrove stuff is made up pish and bollocks for the benefit of the gullibillies.
Nobody ever poses a secondary question to these people to explain their unfounded claims. That would not be acceptable perhaps Mr Bisgrove is still working on a commission incentive scheme and his pay is based on increasing the market size which may come back to haunt him when the budget gets blown.
4.5 to 5 million bears worldwide ? Wow ! That’s a massive amount of poisonous dirge chanting ……. If you listen intently on a quite Summer night ……
Arithmetic is not exactly the Huns’ strong point. After all, we’ve had to suffer all the 55 pish for years.
Pick a number any number and that’s the answer
Exchairman disclosed the old club as a west of Scotland supported club, I’m pretty sure that the new one is the exact same…..
Any interest in them outside of here and Norn Irny would of course be an anomaly.
There is no interest in Orangeism outside this jurisdiction. Why would there be?
