Ange Postecoglou came out swinging at Celtic’s media conference today.
After failing to win in successive domestic matches for the first time in two seasons there has been suggestions that the hoops are losing their touch.
On BBC Sportscene on Sunday night Kenny Miller came up with a calculator which put Celtic in second place in his league table with the Daily Record and others quick to repeat that claim.
Despite the outside noise Celtic will be presented with the SPFL Premiership trophy on Saturday then head to Hampden a week later looking to complete the domestic treble.
Hearing the same old voices every week asking familiar questions doesn’t appear to be one of the highlights of his job with Postecoglou letting off some steam at today’s media conference
Responding to a question about a stronger challenge next season certainly got a reaction from the Celtic manager.

I think that at this time last year Rangers were in a Europa League Final and a Scottish Cup Final and they strengthened after the season, didn’t they?
Really, does anyone really care, like seriously. We didn’t start favourites in my first year, probably weren’t overwhelming favourites this year so, people will say what they want mate, you know.
Everyone has a plan until they get punched on the nose then you kind of reassess from there.
We start next year, when the games start everyone will see who is strong and who isn’t strong and all that sort of stuff.
Right now, league wise, it is the equivalent of junk time mate so we just get on with it.
Fortunately for Ange there is only one more ‘junk time’ match to get through after the visit to Hibs then the questions should turn to the Scottish Cup Final.
After six solid months of media conferences it looks like the Celtic boss will enjoy the relative peace and quiet of his summer holiday.

Big Ange will have plenty of destinations to choose from for a summer holiday!
“Junk Time”…… The period at the end of a timed sporting event that has become a blowout when the outcome of the game has already been decided.
