McCoist’s way out theory that Kieran Dowell signing could force Ange out of Celtic

Ally McCoist believes that the signing of Kieran Dowell could force Ange Postecoglou to flee Celtic for the bright lights of Spurs.

Speculation that the Australian could be close to leaving Celtic has brought some much needed hope to the Scottish media as they prepare for a likely Celtic Treble celebration through gritted teeth.

Postecoglou has already crushed the myths of Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst with Micky Beale left trophyless after three crushing defeats in the Viaplay Cup, SPFL and Scottish Cup.

Beale has been drumming up interest in his summer Revolution but only former Everton starlet Kieran Dowell has so far signed up.

Proper signings are expected from June 14 but after five club legends walk away only the Gullible & Deluded are sharing the optimism of Beale.

If the price is right McCoist will back any message coming out of Ibrox, watching him on Scottish Football Extra last night, The Sun reports the former Rangers boss saying:

First thing you have got to say is big Ange has done a fantastic job but it’s all about timing for managers and indeed players in many respects.

It’s all about if the timing is right for him to go. Will Celtic dominate next year? He doesn’t know. He doesn’t have a crystal ball and doesn’t know who Rangers are going to sign yet, maybe one or two changes…

First thing, McCoist did a fantastic job at Ibrox, snapping up Ian Black, Kevin Kyle, David Templeton, Dean Shiels and Fran Sandaza to his 2012 Revolution.

In December 2014, Soon after being drawn against Celtic in the League Cup semi-final McCoist decided to walk away.
