For six months Micky Beale has been singing the praises of Alfredo Morelos, selecting the Colombian four times to get an elusive win over Celtic.
After today’s win over Aberdeen the rookie boss put the boot into his star striker with comments that will be noted in the dressing room and beyond.
The master tactician has failed to lay a glove on Celtic but rather than own up to his own failings Beale decided to throw Morelos under the bus with some incredible comments.

Morelos is moving on. I think you saw the difference in energy in the forward area when Morelos came on. And not in a positive way. We’ll need a focal point to the team, for sure. Antonio is not fit at the moment. Fashion and Rabbi gave us a different type of frontline today.
Morelos was a 65th minute substitute for Rabbi Matondo, with four matches left to play Beale has to decide whether the former HJK Helsinki starlet is involved on Saturday when Celtic visit Ibrox.
After six months in charge any problems with Morelos’ energy levels fall firmly on his manager.
Fat boy must stay!????
As a manager – in any job – there are times when you would like / love to say EXACTLY
what you think about a member of your team – but you simply cannot.
Not because it may offend that member of staff,
but, because the rest of your staff will be thinking:
“…and what does he say about me to other people?”
Beale is not a manager – maybe he should stick to coaching?
