Andrew Dallas highlighted the dangers of VAR last night at Easter Road as he trawled desperately to disallow Celtic’s second goal while ‘suggesting’ to Kevin Clancy that he downgrades the red card shown to Jake Doyle-Hayes.
At Ibrox there were more strange decisions, or teething issues as Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson described it at the AGM when Lawrence Shankland scored an early goal for Hearts.
Not so said the assistant referee on the Main Stand side of the ground despite three home players between Shankland and the goal-line when he found the net.
?? “What a way to begin a visit to Ibrox!”

Willie Collum on VAR duty was able to give the correct verdict that Frank Connor on the line seemed to have missed.
Another piece of incompetent analasis from Andy Walker – this was a tight call!
With the GK advanced ahead of the last defender he becomes the 2nd last opponent for determining offside so by my reckoning approx 3 yards onside!
Poor decision from one of the best SAR in Scotland pic.twitter.com/8t7nQgieeq
