Three leading bookmakers have shortened the odds on Brendan Rodgers becoming the next manager of Spurs.

Next manager markets are notoriously volatile with a couple of bets coming in from different directions often seeing the odds collapse on any candidate.

Ange Postecoglou has been heavily linked with succeeding Antonio Conte by most of the Scottish media but Rodgers is a readily available candidate for the job with first hand knowledge of the English game and the issues facing Spurs.

The Irishman is familiar with the area having previously worked at Chelsea, Reading and Watford whereas Celtic is the first time that Postecoglou has held down a job in Europe.

Odds at 9.20pm on May 28.

After ditching Celtic overnight in February 2019 Rodgers took Leicester to fifth place in successive seasons in the EPL then won the FA Cup in 2021, the only time that Leicester have lifted that trophy.

Things went badly wrong this season for Rodgers this season but he still has a high enough profile to be of interest to Spurs- if he gets their managers job the loudest cheers will come from relieved Celtic fans.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

They must be desperate he was one of the main reasons Leicester were relegated this Season.
One the most overrated Managers in the U.K.
    Found out in Europe.

Put simply, there are protocols about managerial appointments. The Board and Manager will be the first to learn of these (to find out in another way would be unprofessional). Next to know will be the fans. There is no way whatsoever that the Scottish press can produce an ‘Exclusive’, they wouldn’t know how to, for a start, other than trolling the internet for speculative fiction.
