The SPFL Twitter account has joined Sky Sports in awarding the 2023 Bragging Rights Trophy to the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Alongside the Closing The Gap Trophy and the Least Penalties Conceded Cups it means that Micky Beale has completed a domestic treble in his first six monfs in management.

Eilidh Barbour caused amusement on Saturday when she finished coverage of the Glasgow Derby by announcing that the Bragging Rights would be at Ibrox over the summer.

Some consolation is certainly due but it is a stretch to brag about winning a match with no tangible prize after losing in the Viaplay Cup, SPFL and Scottish Cup to your city rivals.

Saturday’s euphoria will soon fade away, over the next two weekends 60,000 fans will acclaim the champions at Celtic Park before attention switches to Hampden and the prospect of a world record eighth domestic treble.
