It invited replies across the whole spectrum as Super Scoreboard asked fans for a one word summary of their team’s season.

The creativity of supporters should never be under-estimated. Fantastic, champions, brilliant and outstanding are natural reactions of Celtic supporters but it is only natural that some thoughts were cast across the city.

During the World Cup break Giovanni van Bronckhorst was callously axed with the predator Micky Beale waltzing in to tell everyone everyfing that he finks about fings.

Boy could he talk, after a lifetime of neglect Beale found an audience hanging on his every word. They even dubbed the bibs and cones man as the brains behind Steven Gerrard winning one trophy in nine.

And then Beale had to produce on the pitch. At new year John Beaton salvaged a draw against the SPFL leaders in January.

In February Celtic won the Viaplay Cup Final at Hampden with Beale afraid to start with the golden boys of Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin.

Six weeks later Celtic won the decisive SPFL clash to go 12 points clear, at the end of April the hoops won again, Jota heading home in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden, taking advantage of horrendous defending.

And then, with the prizes decided, silver medals secured, Beale’s bottlers hit form giving fans hope that next season will be different, again.
