Team News: Ange makes six changes as Johnston returns while Bain drops out of squad completely

Ange Postercoglou has made six changes to the Celtic side that lost to Hibs in midweek for today’s match against Aberdeen.

Carl Starfelt is the only defender to survive from Wednesday, Scott Bain fails to make it onto the bench with Ben Siegrist making a very rare appearance.

Tomoki Iwata returns to partner Starfelt in defence with first choice full-backs Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor reunited for the first time in four weeks.

Matt O’Riley takes Iwata’s place in midfield, Jota comes in for the suspended Daizen Maeda with Kyogo Furuhashi getting the chance to push his goal tally for the season beyond the 31 mark with 25 of his goals coming in the SPFL Premiership.

Aberdeen’s 3-0 win over St Mirren in midweek secured third place in the SPFL for new boss Barry Robson, Alan Muir will referee today’s match.
