Jota missed out on the nominations for Player of the Year but he did walk away with one award from Sunday’s PFA Awards Night.

Way back in September the winger showed very special movement and technique to put Celtic 3-0 in front going into half-time in the Glasgow Derby.

Typically he paid tribute to Matt O’Riley for the defence splitting pass following a quickly taken free kick by Josip Juranovic, what happened next was special as the slow motion captured.

Running at full speed to reach the pass and get away from defenders Jota then put the brakes on before curving his shot around the advancing Jon McLaughlin, floating across goal and in at the far post.

The winning goal in the April fixture between the clubs put Celtic 12 points clear before the only goal of the game at Hampden booked the hoops a place in the Scottish Cup Final.
