Kathy Hill was trending on Twitter last night after turning in one of the staunchest performances ever seen at Hampden.
If Micky Beale could import that attitude into his side they wouldn’t be getting booed and jeered off the pitch at Hampden by their fans as they acknowledge the loyal bears after losing to Celtic.
While James Tavernier shrugs his shoulders and refreshes his apology speech the captain of the Ibrox Ladies has a very different approach to losing.
Rather than inspire her team by going the extra mile after losing a goal, captain Hill made a cowardly charge at Amy Gallacher from behind, leading with her elbow. Fortunately referee David Munro decided it was only a yellow card.
A few minutes later Claire O’Riordan headed Celtic two goals in front, when the final whistle blew it all got too much for Hill.
As she went up to graciously collect her losers medal from Rod Petrie it lasted less than five seconds around her neck before being yanked off in front of the jubilant Celtic players and thousands of fans still partying from the day before.
