The current SPFL champions were greeted by giant images from the past as they emerged from the tunnel to face Aberdeen.
Barry Robson’s side formed a Guard of Honour but looking down on the arena were images of Jock Stein and Willie Maley forming the cornerstone of the Green Brigade’s Tifo.
It was an imposing and inspiring sight as a more recognisable Celtic side started the match on the front foot to put Aberdeen under serious pressure.

The fans had to wait 27 minutes for the opening goal but it was well worthwhile as a brilliant Greg Taylor pass opened up the Dons defence, Kyogo Furuhashi sold defenders a dummy then smashed a shot high into the net for his 26th goal of the season.
Five minutes later Kyogo doubled the lead as the hoops roared back to form a week ahead of their bid to win the Scottish Cup Final by seeing off Inverness Caley Thistle at Hampden.
HALF TIME Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen.
