Anthony Joseph has tweeted that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Marco Tilio from Melbourne City to Celtic.
Obtaining a work permit for someone who was part of Australia’s World Cup squad last year should be a formality as the winger joins Odin Thiago Holm in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
With a 21-year-old right winger joining the club there is bound to be increased speculation that Liel Abada will be moving on with the Israeli linked with a move to England over the last few months.
Tilio has scored 10 goals from 29 A-League matches this season which is close to the return that Celtic got from Abada last season although he found himself mainly used as a substitute.

It’s understood paperwork is being finalised and the Hoops hope to complete the transfer this week.
