Micky Beale has had an offer for Feyenoord striker Danilo rejected by the Dutch champions.

With pre-season training just three days away Beale is seriously short on strikers with only Sam Lammers added to his striking options with the former Atalanta man far from prolific.

Leaking details of low-ball bids for players is a favoured tactic at Ibrox followed by claims that they won’t be held to ransom and have other targets in mind.

The Sun reports:

RANGERS have made an offer for Feyenoord’s Danilo – but their opening bid has been turned down.

The Brazilian striker has emerged as a transfer option for the Ibrox club as Michael Beale looks to bolster his attacking options.

It’s understood the Gers have now, made their move to land Danilo who only joined Feyenoord last summer.

SunSport understands, however, that the Gers’ opening offer hasn’t matched what Feyenoord would be looking for and as a result, it’s been kicked-out by the Dutch outfit.

He’s under contract in Rotterdam until 2026 and the clubs are, at this stage, far apart in their valuation of the player.

Danilo has guaranteed Champions League football to look forward to at Feyenoord next season while Beale’s squad face two qualifying rounds to join Celtic in the elite event.

With no sign of offers coming in for Kemar Roofe, John Lundstram, Borna Barisic or Glen Kamara it is unlikely that Beale will be paying out on transfer fees until some of the deadwood is shifted.
