It seems that winning a couple of dead-rubbers has sent delusions to new levels among Ibrox fans- especially Kensington Blue.

Come crunch time in April Micky Beale’s side crumbled to three defeats, twice to Celtic and away to Aberdeen.

Wonderboys Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin were included, when the stakes were highest they went into hiding. At the final whistle in the Scottish Cup semi-final a half-hearted attempt to clap the fans was cut short as boos and abuse were aimed at James Tavernier and his team-mates.

Now a winning run through May starring TikTok Todd and Ibrox fans are basking in the acclaim of another Close Season Cup win while the three domestic trophies sit inside the Celtic trophy room.

Three free agents have been signed while five experienced players walked away without a penny coming into the club.

Deadwood like Borna Barisic, John Lundstram, Kemar Roofe and Glen Kamara are still on the payroll, there is no interest in buying serial losers but Kensington and his chums are enjoying their traditional summer celebrations.
