Daily Record bangs the drum for Beale’s high profile EPL signing

It is going to be a long summer of fun with the Daily Record linking allsorts of stars with a move to Ibrox.

Micky Beale has a tedious link to every player in England with the Record team primed to put together the jigsaw pieces to keep their target audience enthused.

Conor Coady has just completed a disastrous loan spell at Everton, the Liverpool fan played 21 EPL games as they scraped their way out of relegation with a second half goal in the final game of the season.

Showing their usual talent for creating an Ibrox feel-good story out of virtually nothing the Record explains:

The England international is heading back to Wolves after Everton didn’t take up an option to sign him permanently in a £4.5m deal, following a Goodison Park loan spell. But posting to his Instagram story, the defender has taken a photo of his three kids, with two in Italian strips, and one in Rangers blue.

With a big Michael Beale rebuild underway at Ibrox, some past connections have worked some into a frenzy. Coady was a Liverpool youngster while the Rangers boss was a youth coach at Anfield, and his comments of adding ‘a bit of grey hair in our new signings’ have poured fuel on the fire.

One fan was not so sure, saying he would ‘be on a wage outwith our budget I imagine’ but another reckons that can be solved as ‘Beale would work his magic.’

Completing the cycle there are apparently lots of Championship sides ready to bid for Ben Davies to fund the move for Coady and other top targets.
