Fee agreed with midfielder reported to be booked in for Celtic medical

Transfer

Celtic are reported to have agreed a £2.24m fee with Valerenga to sign Odin Thiago Holm.

A report from Norway claims that the midfielder has a medical booked in Glasgow to complete the move.

With Celtic currently without a manager any deal would appear to be driven by the club’s recruitment team.

Holm seems to be a traditional all-in midfielder, not nailed down to a holding or attacking role.

Nettavisen reports:

Valerenga completely agree with Celtic about Thiago Holm

On Monday, Nettavisen could reveal that Celtic had submitted a bid for Odin Thiago Holm . The Scottish big club has been in negotiations with Valerenga about the final details which were agreed upon this week.

VIF has secured a transfer fee of over NOK 30 million, as well as good resale percentages.

Thiago Holm will travel to Scotland to complete the medical examination and sign the contract when this is passed after he has finished his holiday.

The 20-year-old is this week in Spain, but he is expected in Glasgow after this to finalize the transfer. Thiago Holm has played his last match for Vålerenga according to the plan.

Celtic are currently well stocked for midfielders but Aaron Mooy and David Turnbull are both out of contract next summer with no official word of converting Tomoki Iwata’s loan move into a permanent deal.

Holm has played 10 league matches this season for Valerenga with their season starting in April.
