Has the Micky Beale Revolution ground to a halt?

After scooping up three free agents and swooping for a £3.5m striker it seems that Micky Beale is struggling to add any more new faces to his squad.

While Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland have been polished way beyond their journeyman status some doubts have been raised in the media about Sam Lammers scoring six goals over the last three seasons.

A dozen new players were expected but with pre-season training eight days away it seems that Beale will have to continue to multi-task as Sporting Director while taking the lead with the bibs and cones.

David Edgar of Heart & Hand is tasked with keeping fans informed about transfer business but over the last week no progress has been reported.

While Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield, Malik Tillman and Allan McGregor walked away Beale has been unable to bring in any fees for his deadwood.

Scott Wright and Jon McLaughlin were expected to make sharp exits but there has been no movement while Borna Barisic, John Lundstram and Kemar Roofe are entering the last 12 months of their contracts.

Around £15m was spent last summer on Ridvan Tilmaz, Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies and Antonio Colak, it is highly unlikely that any worthwhile fees will be raised by selling them this as the players sit on their long term contracts.
