Friday looks like being a very dark day for Celtic fans.

SPFL Premiership fixtures will be published but casting a giant shadow over that event is the release of the 23/24 home kit from Adidas.

A stylish and sleek dark grey with black trim away kit was released last week to acclaim which will no doubt be reflected in first week sales.

There barely seems to be any compliments being directed at the leaked home kit which looks like it has been selected from a Primary School art competition.

Jaggy lines replace the classic hoops with bizarre shaping through the hoops is topped off by three black stripes down the shoulders, a black Adidas log next to the golden logo of Dafabet.

Over the last month fans have been hoping that the leaks were simply scare stories, wind-ups ahead of the long awaited classic Adidas home kit that supporters have been waiting on.

Kits often get a negative reaction when first released before fans are won around as they see it in person or from a distance on players.

Friday’s kit will require an incredible turnaround in public opinion as Adidas discover that there is a line drawn by fans over what they are prepared to pay money to be seen in.
