Joe Hart was the first Celtic player to comment on Aaron Mooy’s retirement from the game.

The hoops keeper is more than four years older than the Australian internationalist who has retired after making 42 appearances in Celtic’s treble winning season.

A year ago Mooy was without a club as he targeted a place in Australia’s World Cup squad after will-power drove him through two Play Off matches to reach Qatar.

With Ange Postecoglou at Celtic a two year contract was perfect for the Glasgow based midfielder, other than that final injury he could hardly have planned a better finale to his career.

In November he played his final match in the Champions League away to Real Madrid, the next month he signed off at the World Cup Finals against Argentina.

At the start of May Mooy played his last ever Celtic match, coming off the bench for 20 minutes in the SPFL title clincher against Hearts.

The former St Mirren man missed out of a Scottish Cup winners medal but more than played his part in a very memorable season for the hoops.

A think we should be more careful here in sniggering at sevco with their nickel&dime players coming in.
We have 2 out the door in Jota and Mooy with a couple of untried players coming in,this could be the start of the team being split up if Kyogo and anyone was to leave.

At least sevco are getting players in the door and at the moment we are playing catch up,so be careful what you wish for.

LIEWELL is back and it’s beginning to show, don’t say you haven’t all been warned.

As for the sevco new onloan signing from yesterday with a £50 million price tag,it sounds like their President who quoted the above figure has been hanging around with King the CHISLER with figures like that being branded about,as that was King’s war cry about FATSO the Sumo wrestler and look how that ended.
