Sky Sports try to airbrush Brendan Rodgers owning Warburton and Caixinha from his CV!

Rewriting Scottish football history around 2012 is standard practise for most media outlets as they perform gymnastics over the liquidation of Rangers and the death of their cherished O** F*** tag.

Financial meltdown is a popular means of deflection while demotion and relegation are often used to protect viewers and readers from the reality of Her Majesty rejecting a CVA.

Suddenly Rangers were no more, Charles Green formed a Tribute Act, weighed in Ally McCoist and before you could shout Going For 55 that tricky issue was resolved.

Today Sky Sports took things a stage further, not only did Rangers avoid liquidation but they weren’t even in the top flight during all of Brendan Rodgers’ time at Celtic!

Try telling that to Mark Warburton, Pedro Caixinha, Wes Foderingam, James Tavernier, Andy Halliday, Barry Mackay and Martyn Waghorn. Graeme Murty resigned in shame after his side handed Celtic the title in a 5-0 Demolition Derby, two weeks after losing 4-0 in  Scottish Cup semi-final.

Sky Sports rolled out all of the O** F*** treatment for the fixtures as Celtic won 5-1 home and away on their way to the SPFL title with a League Cup semi-final victory thrown in for good measure.

Celtic finished that SPFL campaign with a record 106 points, 39 points ahead of the Ibrox club, with a goal difference of +81 while their city ‘rivals’ finished the season +12. Aberdeen finished in second place, nine ahead of Caixinha’s side.
