Ange Postecoglou has admitted that yesterday’s Scottish Cup Final was the final appearance for some of the Celtic players.

With a full focus on the prospect of Spurs appointing a new manager the dressing room has largely been spared from transfer speculation.

Liel Abada has been the subject of some transfer speculation since the turn of the year but there could well be serious EPL interest in at least half of yesterday’s cup winning squad.

Yesterday’s goal at Hampden was Abada’s 13th of the season, a good return in any circumstances but especially impressive after starting just 20 matches. Once again yesterday’s goal came after coming off the bench.

With the main question being asked in a variety of ways Postecoglou nodded towards the players while the media were waiting for a slip from the manager about his own future.

QUESTION: Sorry, so as things stand do you anticipate being here next season?

AP: I anticipate enjoying this moment, for the next 24, 48 hours, for as long as I can before somebody drags me away, takes my attention away from enjoying something that has been hard earned, so.

You know the reality of it is, there are probably players in the dressing room who won’t be here next year, yeah? That’s the nature of football but I want them to enjoy it, I’m going to enjoy it and that’s all that I’m going to focus on until somebody grabs me by the collar and tells me that I have to answer certain questions

Joe Hart, David Turnbull and Aaron Mooy are out of contract in May 2024 with talks about their future being a priority over the summer.
