As if losing Ange Postecoglou isn’t a big enough issue for Celtic fans to deal with supporters also have the shadow of Brendan Rodgers looming around.
The jigsaw pieces have slowly been sliding into place over the last few months with time a heeler for some over his overnight trip to Leicester City in February 2019.
On April 2 Rodgers was mutually consented from his beloved Leicester, no doubt with a severance payout accompanied by a non-disclosure agreement.
There wasn’t much if any sympathy coming from Celtic fans as Leicester headed towards The Championship.
Four weeks later and Rodgers was sitting beside Willie Haughey in an Executive Box at Hampden as Celtic triumphed in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

Following a week of solid speculation Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail, the journalist closest to decision making at Celtic Park, floated the idea that all could be forgiven if Rodgers was to return to Celtic, blending his coaching talents alongside an ability to create fanciful stories showing him in the most positive of lights.
The video clip above is typical of Rodgers, detached from reality and prepared for anything that puts him back in the limelight on another fantastic contract.
Despite having his efforts to sign John McGinn undermined by the current Celtic chairman, despite having a millionth winger forced on him it isn’t beyond possibility to imagine that Rodgers and Peter Lawwell, two men of similar character and values, will soon be fronting things again to the #celticfamily.
