Anthony Joseph is reporting interest in Stephen Welsh from clubs in Germany and Italy.
This seems to be a long running story but after being frozen out of competitive action since last October it is likely that the defender will be looking to break his ties with the club that he joined while at primary school.
Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers have been the first choice partnership throughout Ange Postecoglou’s time in charge, in the first half of last season Welsh found himself behind Moritz Jenz with Yuki Kobayashi the preferred back up in the second half of the season.
Celtic defender Stephen Welsh is attracting interest from Bundesliga and Serie A clubs.
The Hoops are back in training today and Brendan Rodgers will assess the squad before making decisions.

Injury to Carter-Vickers could delay Welsh’s departure but at the age of 23 the defender knows that he has to get a solid season of first team football under his belt to fulfil his early potential.
It seems that there are some high calibre clubs keen on the former Scotland u-21 skipper but other than a spell during the Lockdown Season he has always seemed to be battling against the odds for an opportunity at Celtic.
Welsh’s likely departure will hinder Celtic’s UEFA plans with four home grown players required in the 25 man squad, if he leaves Callum McGregor, James Forrest and Tony Ralston would be the only first team players left in that category.
