Celtic are one of a number of clubs monitoring Reed Baker-Whiting of Seattle Sounders.
The 18-year-old has made 10 appearances this season in the MLS and has been capped seven times by the USA u-19 side.
With Celtic stretching their recruitment activities well beyond Europe Baker-Whiting will be someone that they are aware of.
Youth internationalists breaking into first team football are well worth keeping an eye on with the deal for Alistair Johnston last season confirming that the club is active in North America.

MLS transfers has over 40,000 Twitter followers.
Central midfield is an area that Celtic seem well covered in with Odin Thiago Holm and Kwon Hyeok-kyu signed during the current transfer window.
Clearly there are a number of clubs with well established development programmes looking at Baker-Whiting, joining Celtic to play in the Lowland League wouldn’t hold much appeal.
With Matthew Anderson and Tobi Oluwayemi expected to join Admira Wacker there might be a new pathway for Celtic to accelerate the development of emerging talents into first team-ready players.

We are about to get blown out the water sevco having £15 million to spend on more players with the sake of Kamara, Lunstrum and Baracic.
Buy him and loan him back to his club where he can continue to develop as part of the deal. Who wants to play in the effin lowland league?
