Yang Hyun-jun has resumed English lessons in anticipation of completing his move to Celtic.

Over the weekend the £2.1m transfer of the winger seemed to be a done deal as far as Gangwon are concerned but so far there hasn’t been any announcement from Celtic.

A report by Best Eleven claimed that Yang has still to undergo a medical but the 21-year-old seems well prepared for his move and has resumed English classes.

Discussing initially the type of football Celtic play, Korean site Best Eleven reports the winger saying:

You have to be proactive. You also have to break through aggressively. The defence is also active. You want to maximize your strengths. Have you ever seen a Celtic match? I want to go quickly and get used to it.

It is a challenge because you are confident. After going fast and bumping into my body, I think I know what to do. I was studying English, but then I quit. It hasn’t been easy in the past. I have to go and do it now.

The delay in the transfer seemed to be at the Korean end with Gangwon looking to hold on to Yang until the January transfer window which didn’t suit Celtic.

With 21 appearances in the K-League this season the winger shouldn’t have too many difficulties getting ready to fight for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ side.

After all the scouting and recruitment reports it will be on the training pitches at Lennoxtown that Yang gets the opportunity to impress and push his case for game time in a very competitive squad.
