Brendan Rodgers has given his first one-to-one interview since returning to manage Celtic.
Since taking over from Ange Postecoglou then Irishman has kept a very low profile in the media other than the occasional in-house interview with Celtic’s media team.
In the build up to Saturday’s friendly against Wolves there was no pre-match media conference although he did reflect on the match and the injury situation in a couple of post match interviews

We want to improve the squad, I think that everyone looks and thinks that we might be bringing in a £15-20m player, the reality is that won’t be the case. It’s not what the club is based on.
There has been some speculation among supporters that the club’s £9m transfer record could be broken this window but Rodgers was very clear about steering away from that level of expectation.
Odsonne Edouard commanded that fee five years ago from Paris Saint Germain but it looks more likely that spending in line with last summer when £6.5m was spent on securing Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota after successful seasons on loan
