Third or fourth best supported club in the world- EPL boss makes Celtic confession

Davie Moyes has told the Australian media that Celtic are probably the third or fourth best supported club in the world.

West Ham take on Spurs tomorrow in Perth with the local media in raptures that an Australian is in charge of an EPL club for the very first time.

Ange Postecoglou was covered with a mixture of curiosity and amazement as he delivered success to Celtic, developing a relationship with the support that few could have imagined for an outsider to the club.

That however was viewed as an apprenticeship for the real deal with much of the soccer focus in Australia on the EPL.

It is 40 years since Moyes left Celtic for Cambridge United, he has been linked with the manager’s job on a couple of occasions and is in no doubt about the stature of the club that started off his footballing career.

He’ll never get more pressure than he did managing Celtic Football Club. Celtic Football Club are probably the third or fourth best supported football club in the world, and if you manage Celtic Football Club, you’re used to pressure. So he’ll have no problem.

At Spurs Postecoglou is looking to succeed where other highly rated manager have failed by winning the club their first trophy since 2008.
