It seems that the signing of Cyriel Dessers has sent delusions at Ibrox off the radar.
Turning 29 in December the striker has just suffered relegation from Serie A with Cremonese, the same fate that Sam Lammers endured on loan at Sampdoria.
Dessers and Lammers are the only two players that Micky Beale has spent a transfer fee on recruiting.
Apart from that duo it has been a couple of free agents plus Abdallah Sima who has also come off a season where he suffered relegation in France with Angers where he was on loan at from Brighton.
Six weeks without a game has been enough to transform last season’s losers into a team of stars with the main question being over who will sweep the board with the Player of the Year Awards.

It seems that April has been airbrushed from the memory bank of fans in relation to Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin. The dynamic duo played in the defeats against Celtic (twice) and Aberdeen but a storming May starring in dead-rubbers was all that the bears needed to believe again.
Next week we’ll be getting clips of high quality training sessions from Germany, no doubt the spin on these will also be off the radar.

The Dessers guy will be 29 in December,they have chucked potentially £6.5m at him. Likely no resale there so not part of player trading model. Clearly they are all in this season as they know if they don’t win league and/or get in CL this season we will be miles ahead for years

Mark my words this will continue and even get worse because the Celtic board are taking their eye off tha ball as regards to VAR. the system allowed the new club to stay on our tails all last season and because our board ignored it the same thing will happen next season.

Yes, you could have an exceptional player, who did have a good season – but his team
mates were mince – and despite his best efforts his team was relegated.
