‘£5.5m for a guy who can’t get a game before John Lundstram’ ‘Cool story’ ‘Undisclosed fee incoming’ Sky Sports have their Glen Kamara story trashed

Sky Sports have jumped on board the £5.5m Glen Kamara bandwagon.

That is apparently the fee that Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Coventry City are bidding for the former Juventus target.

There is a very familiar ring to the story as a totally unrealistic fee is floated for a player that has barely put in a credible performance in the last 15 months.

Micky Beale’s return to the club was expected to revive the former Dundee midfielder but after starting him in the Viaplay Cup Final against Celtic in February the tactical genius bowed to fan pressure with Nico Raskin and Todd Cantwell instantly installed in his midfield.

Since last season ended Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers and Jose Cifuentes have been added to Beale’s midfield options with Ryan Jack given a new 12 month contract.

Kamara was banished to train on his own when he returned for pre-season training but that didn’t create any transfer interest.

Last week he was back training with the first team as a story was created linking three Championship sides with the two month long race to sign the midfielder.

Towards the end of the transfer window Kamara is expected to go out on loan or be sold for the well used undisclosed fee.
