Respected Twitter account makes huge Celtic transfer claim

Celtic Underground has given fans hope that there will be a late flurry of incoming transfers.

Four project deals were completed before the start of the SPFL season with Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke joining either side of Carl Starfelt’s departure to Celta Vigo.

From apparently a position of strength at the start of June and moving quickly to replace Ange Postecoglou an old malaise has returned with key positions needing strengthened in the final days of the transfer window.

Injuries in central defence have been a hammer blow but failing to score in successive games against Kilmarnock and St Johnstone demonstrates that the problems are throughout the squad.

Running since 2009 with over 86,000 followers Celtic Underground is well followed and respected to Twitter without ever blowing their trumpet about being In The Know.

Last summer Celtic spent around £20m on deals for Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Sead Haksabanovic and Alexandro Bernabei without losing any genuine first team starters.
